My Photography has become the creative outlet and medium through which I reveal my autonomous perception, deepening my vision through the exploration of the reincarnative transformation of materials and objects in abstract expression and continuous renewal.
Within the Edoide-BlackBox, every image is a visual renewal of material, revealing transformation through autonomous perception.
Metamorphosis of Structural observation
My artwork is a photographic exploration of a transformation process that I call 'Edoide-BlackBox'. This process involves moving across surfaces where material intervention and transformation collide, revealing the raw traces of time and memory.
My structural investigation explores the metamorphosis that I term the Edoide-BlackBox: the transformation of Edoid red earth through rust fusion, drawing from Bini material intelligence, the historical material culture and artistic heritage of the Bini people in Nigeria. This process reveals transformation as both tangible and symbolic impressions, grounded in tradition while inviting contemporary interpretation. Within the Edoide-BlackBox, minimalist perspectives emerge through processes of transformation and renewal.
The Black Box is a representation of a hidden, autonomous process of constant transformation, of which we only perceive its traces. In my work I explore the metaphorical duality of existence within the Black Box, where light/shadow, white/black, presence/absence, concealment/revelation, and visible/invisible coexist without hierarchy. The idea abstractly embodies the transformation of the old into the new, as well as the concepts of decay and renewal. Edoide-BlackBox emphasizes transformation, not opposition, in these relationships.

My artwork complements the transformation of what I call the Edoide-BlackBox. I combine the raw textures of materials and objects through photography and material intervention. My images are structured on the minimalist notion of ongoing cycles of transformation and renewal.
The combination of Edoid red soil and rust fusion before and after their metamorphosis into completed metallic forms reveals more of the Bini material's intelligence.
In this light, art is a significant tool in the historical and cultural development of Bini's art of innovation. My work not only references the famous bronzes and their sculptures but mainly focuses on the abstract transformative processes that I create.
My work is mainly about the invisible processes of material transformation, beyond figurative art, and also about the Black Box of metamorphosis, which are invisible but leave visible traces. The independent abstract perception of object forms in my photography and mixed media reflects my process of discovering and creative art that goes beyond the Bini art culture.
